I was at the Ottawa Art Expo in October 28, 20 & 30. 2011 
At the St Elias Centre, Ottawa.

Joen Wolfrom's new book, 'Adventures in Design―Expanding the Visual Dance'  will picture another of Sylvia's quilts.

Sylvia took a wonderful retreat course with renowned painter Robert Bateman in British Columbia, Western Canada at Hollyhock educational retreat centre. This was an exciting chance for her to gather more inspiration for her work.


An art quilt 'Colours of the Forest' was exhibited in July in Albuquerque, New Mexico as part of the 'Handweavers Guild of Americas' juried show 'Eye Dazzlers'.


In June several pieces of work was exhibited in Cambridge, Ontario at the Mayor's Celebration of the Arts juried show.


In August Sylvia was in Banff, Alberta where she demonstrated in Canada House Gallery.


Sylvia received an Ontario Arts Council project grant this year.





I will have 2 pieces of work in "1000 Artisans in Textiles" to be published by Quarry Press in 2010.

23rd Annual McMichael Autumn Art Sale.

Sylvia has been invited to be a part of the Great Canadian Landscape Contest. Buckhorn Fine Art Festival.


Annual International On-Line Quilt Art show.


Algonquin Art Centre  is now open for its 4 month season. This lovely fine art gallery is located 20 kilometres from the west gate of Algonquin Park.    From July 16th-July 31st there will be a special feature of my art with about a dozen works on show. I will be demonstrating on 28th July.


Now you can have a piece of my art on high quality tiles in several different sizes with a mat or gloss finish. Consider ordering a small tile so that you can have it framed, or place a hanger on the back to hang as is, or use as a coaster or trivet.

My quilt 'Summer Garden' is one of 22 quilts chosen from Canada to be included in the special exhibit O, Canada 2013.

The quilt is coloured with a variety of transfer painting techniques with the addition of applique and free motion machine embroidery.

The exhibit, which will premiere at International Quilt Festival in Chicago will travel to other major quilt venues during this year.

Sylvia is holding workshops at the newly opened Stitch By Stitch in Kingston.
